Muzaffarpur Court Seeks Report on Complaint Against Shilpa Shetty, Others

Muzaffarpur: The Chief Judicial Magistrate’s (CJM) court in Muzaffarpur has sought a report from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) regarding a complaint filed against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and others.

The complaint, filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha on October 8, 2023, also names Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen, jeweler TM Kalyan, and its Executive Director Ramesh Kalyan as accused.

According to the complaint, a jewelry showroom inauguration near Kalambagh Chowk on October 7, 2023, between 6 and 8 pm led to a massive traffic jam, causing inconvenience to the public.

• Film actress Shilpa Shetty was invited as the chief guest for the event.
• Amitabh Bachchan, as the brand ambassador of the jewelry brand, was also involved in its promotion.
• The event received official permission from the District Magistrate.
• Due to the crowd gathered for the event, Kalambagh Road and the Chowk were completely jammed, leading to severe difficulties for commuters.

The court has directed the Muzaffarpur SSP to submit a report on the matter.
