Muzaffarpur RPF Rescues 144 Children from Human Traffickers, Wins Efficiency Awards

Muzaffarpur: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Muzaffarpur Junction has made remarkable strides in combating human trafficking and ensuring passenger safety over the past year. In a major crackdown, RPF personnel rescued 144 children from human traffickers and reunited 302 lost children with their families. Additionally, 43 traffickers involved in sending children to other states for forced labor were arrested.

Recognitions for Security and Passenger Safety

For its outstanding efforts in security management and passenger welfare, the Muzaffarpur RPF post was honored with two Efficiency Shield Awards. These awards were presented by DRM Vivek Bhushan Sood of Sonpur Railway Division to Inspector Manish Kumar in recognition of the team’s dedicated service.

Crackdown on Crime in Trains

Apart from anti-human trafficking operations, the RPF has actively tackled other crimes:

  • 50 criminals involved in thefts on trains were arrested.
  • 327 passengers were booked for unauthorized chain pulling, disrupting train schedules.

Sub-Inspector Gokulesh Pathak received special commendation for successfully apprehending four criminals involved in ticket fraud.

Best Health Unit Shield Award for Railway PHC

In addition to security measures, railway health services also received recognition. The Railway PHC at Muzaffarpur Junction was awarded the Best Health Unit Shield Award. Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Shaligram Chaudhary was felicitated for his contributions to passenger healthcare.Â
