Muzaffarpur: Woman Shot In Hotel Room, Police Investigate

firing shoot out

MUZAFFARPUR – A man reportedly shot a female orchestra dancer in the mouth, causing severe injuries at a hotel room in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The victim managed to reach to the ground floor reception before losing consciousness. The police are currently investigating the incident.

The incident took place on Tuesday night when Imran Ali booked a room at Alvi International Hotel in Mithanpura Chowk for an orchestra dance performance. After ordering chicken lollipops, his mood abruptly changed, leading to a violent altercation where he allegedly shot the dancer. Despite her injuries, the victim bravely reached the ground floor before losing consciousness.

Police officers reported that the bullet tore through the girl’s cheek. A pistol and two live cartridges were discovered at the scene, with bloodstains found on the bed.

CCTV footage revealed that the hotel owner, Neelu Bharti, had recently reopened the establishment with minimal customers due to her illness. On the night of the incident, staff noticed a commotion and discovered the injured girl on the floor. The police were immediately informed, and bloodstains were found in the room.

A relative of the hotel manager disclosed that the victim had stayed at the hotel multiple times before, most recently on December 30th with the same man.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Avadhesh Saroj Dixit stated that the girl is currently admitted to SKMCH and is not in a condition to provide a statement. The hotel administration is facing scrutiny for its lack of CCTV coverage at the crime scene and the absence of staff at the reception during the incident. While the suspect disclosed his name in a register, the girl’s name is notably absent.

Authorities are awaiting the victim’s recovery to progress with the investigation.
