NDA Leaders Watch Documentary at Nitish’s Patna Residence Comparing Lalu’s Rule With Present Government

Patna: Senior leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), including Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, gathered at the Chief Minister’s residence in Patna on Wednesday to watch a documentary contrasting Lalu Prasad’s tenure before 2005 with the governance record of the current NDA government.
The film showcased themes of law and order, development initiatives, and welfare schemes implemented under the NDA, aiming to shape a compelling narrative in the run-up to the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Sources within the alliance indicated that the screening was part of a broader strategy to sharpen the NDA’s campaign messaging by drawing direct comparisons between the past and present.
Following the screening, a closed-door meeting was held among NDA leaders, where discussions reportedly included the political positioning of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni. Once a part of the NDA, Sahni had later aligned with the Grand Alliance but is now rumoured to be in contact with the ruling bloc once again.
Though talks of his return to the NDA have gained momentum, Sahni publicly maintains his support for the opposition alliance, stating, “We are firmly with the Grand Alliance.”
