Patna: Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor is set to embark on a month-long “Udghosh Yatra” in Bihar from April 23, aiming to mobilise support for his Jansuraj campaign and build momentum for a larger political transformation in the state.
Kishor, the architect of the Jansuraj initiative, will address 50 public meetings during the yatra’s first phase, which will cover 16 assembly constituencies across 11 districts. According to Jansuraj Party spokesperson Syed Masih Uddin, the first leg of the yatra will run until May 1, with Kishor visiting villages and engaging directly with residents to communicate the party’s ideology and vision for Bihar.
The schedule includes stops in Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Jamui, Nawada, Nalanda, Gaya, Aurangabad, and Arwal, reflecting a strategy to engage with both central and southern regions of the state.
Following this phase, Kishor is expected to launch the “Bihar Badlaav Yatra” from May 20, which will extend the campaign’s reach deeper into the state’s rural heartland. This second leg is aimed at engaging with youth, women, farmers, intellectuals, and everyday citizens, with a promise to end political stagnation and advocate for a new system of governance rooted in accountability and grassroots participation.
The twin yatras mark a critical phase in Jansuraj’s push to position itself as an alternative force in Bihar’s political landscape ahead of future elections.
