Patna : A new crèche has been inaugurated at the Labour Resources Department in Patna to support working mothers by providing childcare facilities during office hours. The crèche, located on the Niyojan Bhawan premises, was inaugurated on Tuesday evening by Santosh Kumar Singh, the departmental minister, who described the initiative as a commendable step towards ensuring maternity support for women employees.
Santosh Kumar Singh highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering women by creating a conducive work environment. “This initiative is a significant part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that women employees do not have to worry about the care of their young children while they are at work,” he said. The minister also distributed biscuits, toffees, and other gifts to the children present at the event.
Special Secretary Alok Kumar provided details about the facility, stating that the crèche is equipped to care for children aged between one and five years. “All safety standards have been meticulously followed, and the facility can accommodate 15 to 20 children,” Kumar said.
