Nitin Gadkari Assures Support for Bihar’s Highway Plans and Expressway Projects, Says Minister Nitin Nabin

Patna: Bihar’s Road Construction Minister, Nitin Nabin, has said that Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has assured prompt action on a range of pending and proposed National Highway projects in the state following a detailed meeting in New Delhi.
Describing the meeting as “very positive,” Nabin said he apprised Gadkari of Bihar’s pressing infrastructure needs and sought appropriate development of the state’s highway network. “The Union Minister has directed officials to act swiftly on all the points discussed,” Nabin said.
The discussions centred around four key issues: approval of the Annual Action Plan 2025–26 of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, clearance for remaining schemes under the PM Package 2015, preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Buxar–Bhagalpur Expressway, and sanction for four- and six-lane elevated corridors from Didarganj to Saristabad along with widening of several other routes.
According to Nabin, Gadkari assured that tenders would soon be floated for four- and six-lane construction works along NH 322, NH 333A, and NH 1335 (Bhagalpur–Baljhor), as well as for the eastern segment of the Patna Ring Road—all part of the PM Package 2015. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been instructed to expedite DPR preparations and ensure timely action on all proposed spurs and road widening projects.
