Nitish Kumar Visits PM Modi Ahead of Election Results
Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today, ahead of the anticipated election results.
Nitish arrived at the Prime Minister’s residence around 11 am. Accompanied by JD (U) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, Nitish held a 30-minute meeting with PM Modi.
This high-profile meeting, occurring just a day before the election results are announced, has sparked significant discussion within political circles. Sources indicate that the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister deliberated on the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) electoral successes in Bihar and other states.
In the run-up to the elections, Nitish actively participated in the campaign, notably joining the Prime Minister’s roadshow in Patna and attending several of Modi’s rallies.
Looking ahead to the post-election landscape, there is speculation that the Janata Dal (United) will be included in the Union Cabinet to be formed under PM Modi’s leadership. It is anticipated that the JD (U) will secure a place early in the cabinet formation process, with the number of ministerial seats allocated to them depending on their electoral performance.
With Bihar’s assembly elections on the horizon next year, the state remains a focal point for the NDA’s strategic planning.
