Patna: Vikas Yadav, one of the named suspects in the attack on MP Ram Kripal Yadav’s convoy, has been arrested in Masaurhi. The incident occurred late on Saturday evening when Yadav’s convoy was fired upon in the Pataliputra constituency.
The attack also saw supporters of the MP being beaten, resulting in several injuries. The injured were taken to a private hospital for treatment. MP Ram Kripal Yadav managed to escape unharmed. Following the incident, police from multiple stations, including City SP East, arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation.
A case has been registered at Masaurhi police station against nine named individuals—Akhilesh Yadav, Suraj Yadav, Bittu Yadav, Vikas Yadav, Gautam Yadav, Aditya Yadav, Satendra Yadav, and Saunti Yadav—and 40 unknown persons. The police investigation is ongoing.
