One-Day Softball Competition to Be Held on 21 January in Patna City
Patna: A one-day softball competition is set to take place on 21 January at Manoj Kamaliya Stadium, Patna City, as part of the Nagar Khel Kumbh organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Patna Mahanagar, Patna Sahib unit. Priyaranjan, in charge of ABVP Patna Mahanagar, shared this information, adding that the event’s responsibility has been entrusted to state co-minister Shashi Kumar. The Softball Association of Bihar will provide technical support for the matches.
The competition will feature both men’s and women’s matches. In the women’s category, Premlata Pandey Smriti XI (named after the mother of Health Minister Mangal Pandey) will face Kamala Devi Smriti XI (named after the mother of Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia). In the men’s category, Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha Smriti XI (named after the father of Urban Development Minister Nitin Naveen) will compete against Sushil Kumar Modi Smriti XI (named after the former Deputy Chief Minister).
The matches are scheduled to begin at 10 am, and players from various districts are expected to participate in the event. The competition aims to encourage sportsmanship and showcase talent at a local level.
The winning and runner-up teams will be awarded trophies and individual prizes as a token of appreciation for their performance.
