Orientation Program ‘Aarambh 1.0’ Held for DISHA Students at Patna Women’s College

Patna: Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University, in collaboration with DISHA, a Competitive Examination Guidance Cell, organized an orientation program, Aarambh 1.0, for newly enrolled students. The event aimed to guide students on various competitive exams and strategic academic planning.
The program featured key resource persons, Ravi Shankar Prasad, a mentor in competitive exams, and Vishwa Bhaskar, a management consulting professional. It began with a prayer song, followed by the symbolic presentation of plant saplings to the mentors. Amrita Prakash, Coordinator of DISHA and Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, delivered the welcome address.
The mentors conducted an informative PowerPoint presentation, offering essential insights into competitive exams and sharing strategic approaches to achieving academic success. Their guidance was focused on helping students set clear academic goals and perform effectively in competitive environments.
A total of 62 students from different academic streams attended the event. The program was meticulously coordinated by Amrita Prakash, while Mariyum Fatima, Vice Premier of the Student Council (2024-25), served as the compere. Preeti Singh, General Secretary of the Student Council (2024-25), delivered the vote of thanks.
The orientation marks a crucial step in empowering students as they begin their journey toward success in competitive examinations.
