Patna: Actor Pankaj Tripathi is shooting for the first time in his home state of Bihar, marking a significant milestone in his career. The actor, known for his impactful roles in both Bollywood and regional cinema, is working on a human drama directed by Amit Rai. This collaboration reunites the two after their previous successful projects, and Tripathi is thrilled to return to the state that shaped his roots.
“The film, set in Patna, is an authentic representation of the city, and the team deliberately chose to shoot on location to capture the essence of the state. Tripathi emphasized the importance of staying true to the setting: “It was a conscious choice to set the story here. Why cheat the audience?” Pankaj Tripathi said.
Beyond the project’s location, Tripathi also addressed the common stereotyping of Bihar in Bollywood. He pointed out that past representations often depicted the state negatively, reinforcing certain clichés. However, with this film, the team aims to showcase Bihar’s authenticity, innocence, and the real stories of its people.
Tripathi also commended the local government for their support and expressed gratitude for the warmth and hospitality he received, adding a personal touch to his first shoot in Bihar.
