Pappu Yadav Leads Delegation to Chief Secretary Amidst BPSC Protests
Patna: In a significant development in the ongoing BPSC protests in Patna, Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan, popularly known as Pappu Yadav, led a delegation of BPSC aspirants to meet Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena. The delegation presented detailed evidence of alleged irregularities in the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination and called for its cancellation.
The delegation included candidates Sandeep Giri, Anjali Verma, Gautam Kumar, and Ravish Anand, who collectively highlighted discrepancies in the examination process. They urged the Chief Secretary to annul the current examination and conduct a fresh one to ensure fairness and transparency.
MP Pappu Yadav expressed his concerns, stating, “The BPSC is playing with the future of the students. They are being lathicharged, cases are being filed against them. The students demand that the government should withdraw the cases against the students and cancel the BPSC examination, conducting it again.”
The BPSC protests have intensified over the past weeks, with candidates alleging irregularities and demanding a re-examination. The situation escalated when police used water cannons and lathi-charges to disperse protesters, leading to widespread condemnation. An FIR was filed against political strategist Prashant Kishor for allegedly organizing the protests, further complicating the political landscape.
The protests have also highlighted tensions between political figures. Pappu Yadav has criticized Prashant Kishor, referring to him as a “fraud Kishor,” indicating underlying political rivalries.
