Patna Administration Reviews Eid Prayer Arrangements at Gandhi Maidan

Patna: Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar on Sunday reviewed preparations at Gandhi Maidan ahead of the Eid prayers. Officials have been directed to coordinate with the Namaz-e-Idain Committee to ensure crowd management, security, and traffic arrangements while maintaining law and order.

Authorities have designated entry points for worshippers at gates 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, with specific gates allocated for vehicles. A 24/7 control room will be operational, and the district control room helpline will provide real-time updates. Officials have also been instructed to ensure clear exit routes. Security will be reinforced through 128 CCTV cameras installed by Patna Smart City Limited, with real-time monitoring at the Integrated Command and Control Centre.

To streamline preparations, responsibilities have been assigned to different departments. The traffic police will oversee parking and traffic flow, while the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) will deploy water tankers and set up water dispensers. Patna Municipal Corporation has been tasked with maintaining cleanliness, installing adequate lighting, and preventing stray animals from entering the premises. The fire department will deploy emergency squads, while ambulances equipped with medical staff and essential supplies will be stationed at key locations.

For better crowd management, Gandhi Maidan has been divided into four sectors, each overseen by Additional District Magistrates and Deputy Superintendents of Police. Sector officials will work closely with emergency services to respond to any incidents. Officers on duty have been instructed to adopt a firm yet courteous approach, ensuring a smooth and peaceful environment for the Eid prayers.
