Patna Airport Expands Flight Network With New Routes to Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru

Patna: Patna airport has released a revised flight schedule, introducing additional services and adjusting existing routes. The updated timetable, effective from April 1, increases the number of daily flight pairs from 43 to 45, enhancing connectivity from the Bihar capital to key destinations across India.

Aviation company Air India Express has launched new flights from Patna to Delhi, Chennai, and Bengaluru, addressing the growing demand for air travel. Under the new schedule, the first flight to Delhi departs at 8:30 am, while the last Air India service from Patna takes off at 10:40 pm.

Passengers from Patna can now access direct flights to 13 cities, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ranchi, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, Pune, Guwahati, and Bhubaneswar. However, the revised schedule does not include direct flights to Deoghar, Amritsar, Jaipur, Bhopal, Varanasi, or Prayagraj.

With the expansion, flight operations at Patna airport now span from 7:35 am to 11:35 pm, accommodating 90 flight movements within a 16-hour window. The final flight from Patna is scheduled for 11:25 pm.

The Delhi-Patna-Delhi route remains the busiest, with 13 pairs of flights operating daily. The number of flights between Patna and Bengaluru has increased from eight to nine, while services to Chennai have doubled from one to two. Mumbai-bound flights remain unchanged at four, while Hyderabad retains five daily services. Kolkata will see a slight reduction in flights, with only three pairs now operating. Additionally, Bhubaneswar maintains two pairs of flights, and Ahmedabad, Ranchi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Pune, and Chandigarh each continue to be served by a single flight.

The revised schedule aims to enhance air connectivity and ease travel for passengers, catering to the increasing demand for flights from Patna to major cities across India.
