Patna Airport on High Alert Amid Bomb Threats and Upcoming Festivals

Patna Airport Launches Summer Schedule: 14 Delhi Flights, 2 to Ayodhya

Patna: In light of ongoing threats of bombing planes, airports across the country, including Patna, have been placed on high alert for the next month. With several festivals approaching, security measures have been tightened. Passengers departing from Patna Airport are undergoing thorough luggage checks, and CISF personnel are closely monitoring CCTV cameras. In particular, cargo luggage is being searched with handheld metal detectors.

Approximately 30 additional personnel have been deployed at Patna Airport for the next month. CISF officers are also stationed in the city-side area outside the terminal building, where they have begun checking vehicles entering the parking area. Meanwhile, officers are monitoring the airport from the watchtower. Airlines are also conducting their own luggage checks for passengers.

Notably, despite the operation of flights from morning to night, the dog squad is frequently moved in and out of the airport. According to CISF sources, Patna Airport remains on high alert, with intensive checks of passengers’ luggage underway. The CISF has urged the general public to report any suspicious items or individuals immediately.
