Patna Authorities Inspect Key Locations at Patna Junction Ahead of Chhath Festival

Patna: In anticipation of the upcoming Chhath festival, Patna Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi, District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajiv Mishra, Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Prashar, railway officials, and other stakeholders conducted a comprehensive inspection of key areas around Patna Junction on Saturday.

The inspection, which covered Patna Junction, Railway Complex, GPO, Multimodal Hub at the Patna Junction roundabout, and the surrounding environs, aimed to assess preparations for the four-day Chhath festival. As this festival witnesses a substantial influx of people at the railway station, the authorities laid out directives for effective crowd management and traffic flow.

Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi emphasized the need for seamless coordination between sub-divisional officers, sub-divisional police officers, and the Railways to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers. He urged officials to be prepared for the anticipated crowds and to depute magistrates and police officers to maintain law and order, underscoring the importance of thorough briefings.

The Special Superintendent of Police for Traffic received specific instructions to pay heightened attention to parking and traffic management. Additionally, the Sub-Divisional Officer for Patna Sadar was tasked with ensuring that the surrounding areas remain free from encroachments.
