car fire claims lives of two siblings

PATNA: A parked car outside a house suddenly caught fire, resulting in the death of two young siblings playing in the back seat. The victims have been identified as four-year-old Rampal and his five-year-old cousin sister, Shrishti. The incident took place on Monday night in Rampur Sohgi under Gaurichak police station.

The children were playing inside the car while it was parked outside their home. The fire, fueled by a CNG cylinder installed in the petrol car, engulfed the vehicle, leaving behind a devastating scene.

Rampal’s father, Sanjeet Kumar, who owns a sand and gravel dump near their residence, owns a ten-year-old Maruti Alto car that had been converted to CNG. Sanjeet parked the car after returning home in the evening, leaving the vehicle’s door unlocked. Taking advantage of the open door, Rampal and Shrishti entered the car to play on the back seat.

Tragedy struck when the car suddenly caught fire, with the CNG tank also igniting in the process. Despite the family’s efforts to control the fire and rescue the children, both Rampal and Shrishti sustained severe burns. Emergency services were summoned, and the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
