Patna Commissioner and IG Review Law and Order, Land Disputes in Patna and Nalanda

Patna: In a meeting held at the Commissioner’s Office, Patna Division, Commissioner Mayank Warvade and Inspector General of Police Garima Malik conducted a review of law and order, emphasizing the need for strict action against illegal activities, including the liquor trade, land disputes, and organized crime. District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police were directed to take immediate action in mission mode for law enforcement and crime control.
The officials were instructed to prioritize the resolution of land dispute cases and take firm action against the land mafia, sand mafia, and those involved in organized illegal activities. Special emphasis was placed on the successful execution of pending cases, timely investigations, and the enforcement of the Bihar Crime Control Act (CCA), 2023. Strict monitoring of land disputes at the micro level and the use of high-tech tools such as drones and boats to combat illegal mining were also discussed.
The Commissioner and IG underscored the importance of maintaining public safety and order through the use of CCTV, raising awareness about cybercrime, and ensuring prompt action on FIRs related to such incidents. Officials were encouraged to use social media to communicate the positive work of the administration and build public trust.
Additionally, all concerned officials were directed to focus on transparency, responsibility, and sensitivity while resolving public grievances. They emphasized the need for meaningful coordination between departments like police, revenue, registration, mining, prohibition, and transport to ensure efficient law enforcement and the smooth functioning of public facilities.
