Patna Dermatologist Assumes National Leadership Role at IADVL Conference
Patna: Dr. Vikas Shankar, an esteemed Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Patna Medical College and Hospital, has taken on the pivotal position of National Joint Secretary within the India Association of Dermatologists Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL). This announcement came during the National Dermatological Conference convened in Hyderabad from February 22 to 25, where Dr. Shankar’s appointment was met with unanimous approval in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the field.
The conference, attended by approximately 5,000 dermatologists from across the nation, served as the platform for Dr. Shankar’s ascension to this prestigious role, which he will hold until February 2025.
Under the guidance of Dr. Manju Nath Shenoi from Karnataka as President, Dr. N Ashokan from Tamil Nadu as Vice President, and Dr. Bhumesh Kumar Katkam as Honorary Secretary General, alongside Dr. Mukadam from Maharashtra and Dr. Nirupama from Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Shankar joins the Executive Committee of the IADVL 2024.
