Patna DM and SSP Inspect Traffic Jam in Bihta; Alternative Route Planned Amid Elevated Road Construction
Patna: Severe traffic jams have been troubling residents in Bihta near Patna due to the ongoing construction of the Danapur-Bihta elevated road. Responding to the issue, Patna DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh and SSP Rajiv Mishra, along with other officials, visited Bihta to assess the situation and explore solutions for easing the traffic congestion.
During the inspection, DM Chandrashekhar Singh, SSP Rajiv Mishra, Danapur SDM Divya Shakti, Patna West City SP, and senior officials examined key points along Danapur, Maner, Katesar, Sikandarpur, and Amanabad Dam in Bihta. The DM also issued instructions to address road encroachment and improve the traffic flow between Danapur and Koilwar.
In a meeting with district officials, the DM emphasized the need for swift measures to manage the jam. With bridge, culvert, and road construction rapidly progressing along the Danapur to Bihta and Maner route, the increasing congestion has become a significant issue for commuters.
As a solution, authorities inspected areas in Bihta and Maner to identify a potential alternative route. The 26-km elevated corridor from Danapur to Bihta is under fast-track construction and is expected to be completed within two years. In the meantime, DM Singh assured residents that separate traffic arrangements will be implemented as soon as possible, with instructions issued to the Traffic SP and other relevant officials.
