Patna Gets Second Petrol Pump for Municipal Vehicles in Kankarbagh

The new pump will help Patna Municipal Corporation track its vehicles and stop fuel theft.

Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has opened its second petrol and diesel pump in the city. The new pump is located in Transport Nagar, Kankarbagh, and has a storage capacity of 20,000 litres. It will provide fuel to the vehicles used by the municipal corporation, including those that carry out fogging to control mosquitoes.

The first such pump was built earlier in Patliputra, near Pani Tanki. Like that one, the new pump will also help with the mixing of diesel and fogging chemicals. This process will now be better managed and watched closely by officials every day.

One big improvement is the use of CCTV cameras at the new pump. These cameras will be connected to the control room at PMC’s Mauryalok office. This means officials sitting in the control room can watch the fuel being given to vehicles in real time. It will help keep proper records and prevent any chances of fuel theft.

With this second pump now ready, PMC hopes to make its services faster and more efficient. The goal is to reduce waste, keep better track of fuel use, and make sure all vehicles are being used properly across the city.
