Patna High Court Postpones Hearing On Cancellation Of BPSC 70th PT Exam Amid Protests
Patna : The Patna High Court has deferred the hearing on the cancellation of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th Preliminary Test (PT) exam to February 4. The hearing was postponed due to the absence of Justice Arvind Singh Chandel, who was on leave.
Meanwhile, protests intensified in Patna as candidates demanded the cancellation of the BPSC 70th PT exam. Demonstrators clashed with police on three occasions—outside the BPSC office, the Janata Dal (United) headquarters, and at the Dakbungla intersection. The protests happened yesterday which began at 11 am, continued for eight hours, concluding at 7:30 pm.
The candidates allege irregularities in the examination process and are calling for its cancellation. Authorities have yet to respond to these demands, with tensions expected to rise as the new hearing date approaches.
