Patna: As part of pre-monsoon preparations being carried out on a war footing by Patna Municipal Corporation and Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCo), Municipal Commissioner and BUIDCo Managing Director Animesh Kumar Parashar conducted a surprise inspection of Saidpur Sump House and Bakarganj Nala on Sunday.

At Saidpur Sump House, operations were found to be in satisfactory condition. The commissioner reviewed the walkie-talkies distributed to workers and inspected the construction of a new drain being developed near the facility. However, it was discovered that the newly constructed drain had not yet been connected. Parashar instructed the contractor to complete the connection within two days and directed BUIDCo officials to verify the work upon completion.

At Bakarganj Nala, several sites were found to have accumulated construction debris. The agency responsible for the construction has been asked to provide a formal clarification. Additionally, the commissioner ordered all debris to be cleared overnight.

The inspection team included Additional Municipal Commissioner Rajan Sinha, the Executive Engineer, Executive Officer, and other officials from both the Municipal Corporation and BUIDCo.
