Patna: In preparation for the upcoming Diwali and Chhath festivals, Patna Municipal Corporation(PMC), under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar, has established a dedicated team for the installation of street lights. The initiative aims to guarantee that there are no issues with street lighting during these festive occasions and to ensure that Patna shines brightly.
A total of 25 teams have been assembled for the installation process, each equipped with a vehicle and GPS technology to enhance efficiency. These vehicles come equipped with ladders, lights, wiring, and toolkits, enabling rapid problem resolution. Additionally, a large Hydra vehicle has been made available for addressing high-altitude street lights.
Each team from PMC has been assigned 30 lights and will tour the various wards for installation. These lights include both new installations and repairs to existing ones. The teams will remain on high alert and available 24 hours a day to address any issues related to street lighting on major roads, streets, and localities.
To further facilitate public engagement, the common people can report complaints related to street lights in their vicinity by calling 155304. The municipal corporation has also deployed 13 special vehicles to address these complaints promptly and efficiently.
As PMC takes proactive measures to illuminate the city, residents can look forward to a well-lit and festive atmosphere for Diwali and Chhath celebrations.
