Patna Municipal Corporation Takes Action to Improve Air Quality with Anti-Smog Guns and Water Sprinkling

Patna: In a bid to combat deteriorating air quality, the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has launched a daily operation employing anti-smog guns. These machines are now in use for four hours each in both morning and evening shifts.
With changing weather conditions giving rise to increased dusty winds, the civic body has initiated water sprinkling measure utilizing these anti-smog guns. The deployment of anti-smog guns is particularly prominent on major city roads, including Nehru Path, Boring Road, Kankarbagh, Patna City, and Rajendra Nagar.
A special emphasis has been placed on areas with lush greenery. The machines are actively used for water sprinkling in zones like Nehru Path, Eco Park, and JP Ganga Path. Moreover, they are directed towards roadside trees and plants to prevent the accumulation of dust.
The Municipal Corporation’s comprehensive effort to enhance air quality involves a total of 25 machines. Among these, 12 anti-smog guns and 13 water sprinklers are distributed across various areas to ensure daily road cleaning, a statement issued by PMC on Friday stated.
