Patna Municipal Corporation’s Monsoon Readiness Inspected by Minister Nitin Nabin
Patna: Bihar Urban Development and Housing Department Minister Nitin Nabin on Tuesday inspected the monsoon preparations carried out by the Patna Municipal Corporation. The inspection included visits to the city’s drains and sump houses.
Minister Nabin, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi, Municipal Commissioner Animesh Parashar, and other officials, examined the cleanliness system, as well as the inlets and outlets of the sumps. Officials were instructed to remain alert and monitor water levels closely. The Minister praised the cleanliness efforts and directed that they be maintained consistently.
Minister Nabin stated, “Given the preparations that have been made, I am hopeful that we will largely be able to prevent waterlogging. Our preparation includes a plan to address very heavy rainfall, aiming to clear it within five to six hours. I firmly believe that we will put in all our efforts to ensure that the people of Patna do not face any problems.”
The inspection began at the Kurji drain and sump at 7:30 AM, and included visits to Anandpuri Nala, Rajapur Sump House, Bakarganj Nala, two culverts, and Tinpulia. During the inspection, the Executive Officer of Patliputra Zone, the Executive Engineer of Patliputra Zone, the Executive Officer of Nutan Rajdhani Zone, and other officers and employees of the Municipal Corporation were present.
