Patna Police on High Alert for New Year's Eve Celebrations

Patna: With New Year’s Eve celebrations a few hours away, Patna police are stepping up security measures across the city. To ensure a peaceful and safe celebration, police personnel will be deployed at various locations, and strict action will be taken against those who violate the law.

The police will be conducting vehicle checks at major intersections using breath analyzers to catch drunk drivers. Bikers and those riding in groups will be under special surveillance. To monitor suspicious activities, CCTV cameras will be installed at strategic locations, and the police control room will be closely monitoring the situation.

Special attention is being given to areas like JP Ganga Path, Atal Path, Dakbangla Chowk, Beerchand Patel Path, Karagil Chowk, GPO flyover, and major hotels. Additional forces have been deployed in the secretariat and airport areas.

Officers from the rank of constable to SP will be on duty throughout the night, conducting stop-and-search operations. Vehicles found with any violations will be seized.

Safety Measures at Public Places

The Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, commonly known as Patna Zoo, is expecting a large crowd on New Year’s Eve. To ensure the safety of visitors, additional counters, help desks, and a childcare room will be set up. A control room is operational to handle any emergencies.

The police have warned that strict action will be taken against those found violating the law. Drunk driving, reckless driving, and creating public disturbances will not be tolerated.

Hotels will also be under increased surveillance to prevent any untoward incidents. Vehicle checks will be conducted near hotels to catch drunk drivers and troublemakers.
