Patna Smart City to Develop JP Ganga Path with Tree Planters and Picnic Spots by Chhath
Patna: Patna’s JP Ganga Path (Marine Drive) is set to receive a major facelift, with Patna Smart City Limited undertaking the construction of tree planters at 150 locations. Covering a stretch of approximately 3 kilometers from Digha Rotary to LCT Ghat, this development aims to enhance the scenic beauty of the Ganga Path by planting decorative plants. The project is targeted for completion by Chhath.
In addition to the tree planters, the pathway’s aesthetic appeal is being improved with the installation of grills along the riverside and a 5-foot-high cross barricade along the roadside. This ensures controlled access through designated entrances, while the tree planters, each 10 feet wide and 15 feet long, will be adorned with colorful lights for nighttime viewing. Various plants, including Oxy Green, Arabian Jasmine, Palm, and Aloe Vera, will be planted to enhance the greenery.
The area is being developed as a picnic spot under the Ganga River Front Project, providing an ideal location for families and friends to gather. The tree planters, surrounded by protective brick walls, will be colorfully tiled or painted, adding to the visual appeal and ensuring the plants remain safe from harm.
