Patna to Delhi in 11 Hours: Amrit Bharat Express High-Speed Train Service to Be Launched

Patna : In a significant development for railway passengers, the Indian Railways is set to launch the Amrit Bharat Express, a high-speed train that will connect Patna and Delhi. Designed to offer a faster, more comfortable, and cost-effective travel option, the train is expected to reduce travel time significantly, completing the journey in just 11 hours.

Running at a speed of 130 km per hour, the Amrit Bharat Express aims to provide a swift alternative to the crowded routes between Patna and Delhi. The service is especially beneficial for the large number of Bihar residents in Delhi for work and education, who regularly face overcrowding on the trains. Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, confirmed the launch and highlighted that the train’s modern features will cater to the growing demand for better rail services.

The train will consist of 22 coaches, with a capacity to carry approximately 1,500 passengers. It will include a mix of 11 general coaches, 8 sleeper coaches, one pantry car, and two luggage-less LSRD (Low-Stress Railway Design) coaches. Unlike traditional trains, the Amrit Bharat Express will offer several modern amenities, including charging points at each seat, CCTV surveillance, bio-vacuum toilets, sensor taps, LED lighting, and real-time information boards for passengers.

The train will also be designed with enhanced comfort in mind, offering passengers a metro-like experience with easy movement between coaches. For now, the Amrit Bharat Express is operational on the Darbhanga to Anand Vihar route, providing an affordable travel option, with tickets starting as low as Rs 35 for a 50-kilometre journey.
