Patna to Host Textile Investors’ Meet at New Taj City Centre
Patna: The Taj City Centre in Patna will host the Bihar Business Connect – Textile Investors’ Meet on July 18 and 19, marking the first major event at the new hotel. Approximately 50 prominent garment manufacturers from across India will participate. Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, along with senior Textile Ministry officials, will support the state in this initiative. Sandeep Poundrik, additional chief secretary (industries), shared that the event aims to secure commitments from several large companies to invest in Bihar’s textile sector.
The Bihar Business Connect series, launched last year, successfully drew significant investments and showcased Bihar’s potential as an industrial hub. This year’s focus on textiles aims to build on that momentum. With the state’s rich tradition in weaving and garment production, officials are optimistic about attracting new ventures that will boost local employment and economic growth.
The new Taj City Centre, a part of the esteemed Taj Group, is set to provide an opulent backdrop for the meet. Its state-of-the-art facilities and strategic location make it an ideal venue for such high-profile gatherings. The event’s agenda includes presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to foster partnerships and investment commitments.
Poundrik emphasized the importance of this event for Bihar’s economic strategy, aiming to transform the state’s traditional industries with modern technology and investment. He expressed hope that the meet would pave the way for substantial industrial growth and job creation in the textile sector.
