Patna Women’s College Hosts Workshop on Investment Banking in Collaboration with Imarticus Learning

Patna: The Department of Commerce at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized a Workshop-Cum Training Programme on October 5, 2024, in the M.V.E.I.C. for B.Com Semester V students, in collaboration with Imarticus Learning. The program aimed to equip students with practical skills for careers in Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Data Science, and Machine Learning.
The event began with an inaugural address by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Head of the Department of Commerce and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, who emphasized the importance of practical knowledge and skill development for success in the modern workforce. The workshop featured sessions led by Nandita Nadig, Vice President of Imarticus Learning, Mumbai, and Gyanendra Murari, Associate Vice President, Imarticus Learning, Delhi. Ms. Nadig shared her expertise on Investment Banking, focusing on various products and functions within the banking sector, as well as the significance of understanding Equity and Derivatives.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry demands, fostering academic excellence and preparing students for successful careers. Students from B.Com (Hons) Semester V, along with faculty members from the Department of Commerce, attended the workshop and provided positive feedback on the session.
The event was moderated by Anushka, a Semester III B.Com (A&F) student, while Shatakshi, a Semester V student, delivered the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the national anthem, marking the successful completion of the workshop.
