Patna Women's College Marks International Tiger Day with Creative Awareness Campaign

Patna: In observance of International Tiger Day on Monday, the Department of Fashion Designing at Patna Women’s College (PWC), hosted a creative event to raise awareness about wildlife conservation, with a focus on tigers. The program featured activities such as poster making and T-shirt painting, where students highlighted the importance of biological diversity for future generations.

Participants created artwork that included slogans and images inspired by Indian folk art, emphasizing the need to protect tigers and other wildlife. The event saw enthusiastic participation from all PG and UG Semester 1 students, who contributed creatively under the guidance of Dr. Shemushi Madhu, Head of the Department of Fashion Designing. Geetanjali Chaudhary, the event coordinator, and faculty member Asha Pandey also played key roles in organizing the activities.

This initiative is part of the college’s broader efforts to promote environmental consciousness among students and the community.
