Patna’s Double-Decker Flyover Nears Completion, Set for April Inauguration

Patna: The double-decker flyover on Ashok Rajpath, aimed at easing congestion on one of Patna’s busiest roads, is in its final phase of construction. The Rs 422 crore project is expected to be completed by the end of March and inaugurated in the last week of April, according to Road Construction Minister Nitin Nabin, who inspected the site on Friday.

Key Features of the Flyover

The 2.2km-long structure will have two levels:

  • First level (1.5km): Connecting Patna College to BN College
  • Second level: Stretching from Kargil Chowk to Science College

The flyover is also designed for integration with Patna Metro, the Bakarganj Nala road project, and the proposed multi-level parking facility at PMCH. It will be linked to Krishna Ghat via the JP Ganga Path (Patna River Front).
