Patna’s Flight Woes: IndiGo Faces Cancellations Amid Improving Visibility
Patna – Flight operations experienced improvement on Wednesday morning as dense fog conditions subsided. The first flight to land was SpiceJet’s SG-8721 from Delhi, arriving at 10:17 am, albeit 17 minutes behind schedule. However, the impact of dense fog lingered as four pairs of IndiGo flights faced cancellations.
These flights were bound for Hyderabad, Delhi, Deoghar, and Ranchi. Contrary to expectations, the cancellations were not attributed to Patna’s weather but were due to undisclosed reasons.
The canceled flights included 6E6719 (Hyderabad-Patna-Hyderabad), 6E2769 (Delhi-Patna-Delhi), 6E6902 (Patna-Ranchi-Patna), and 6E7944 (Deoghar-Patna-Deoghar). According to official sources from the airlines, passengers affected by these cancellations were duly informed.
Despite the disruptions, seven pairs of planes arrived late throughout the day, each delayed by less than 30 minutes. The airlines ensured timely communication with passengers to inform them about delays.
The challenges in flight operations highlighted the ongoing impact of adverse weather conditions on the aviation sector. While the arrival of the first flight marked a positive turn, the cancellations and delays underscored the need for proactive communication with passengers to minimize inconvenience.
As the airlines continue to navigate through operational challenges, passengers are advised to stay informed about any changes to their travel plans and check with the respective airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules.
