Patriotic Grandeur: 100-Foot Tiranga and Kulgeet Mark Republic Day at BR Ambedkar Bihar University
Muzaffarpur: BR Ambedkar Bihar University celebrated Republic Day with a series of historic and inspiring events, setting a new benchmark for grandeur and patriotism on campus.
The ceremony’s centerpiece was the hoisting of a towering 100-foot Indian flag, an unprecedented initiative led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai. The sight of the flag soaring high instilled a deep sense of national pride among students, faculty, and staff.
In a further historic move, the university unveiled its first-ever Kulgeet (anthem), designed to foster unity and a shared sense of purpose within the academic community. During his address, Prof. Rai congratulated the writer and composer of the anthem, calling it a milestone in the university’s journey toward cultural and academic enrichment.
Speaking to the gathering, Prof. Rai highlighted the significance of these initiatives. “The 100-foot flag is a testament to our commitment to national values and excellence. It serves as an enduring symbol of inspiration for our university community,” he said. Reflecting on the newly introduced Kulgeet, he added, “This anthem binds us together, reminding us of our shared mission and collective aspirations.”
Prof. Rai also took the opportunity to outline key advancements achieved during his tenure. These included the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies, bolstering research infrastructure, and fostering a vibrant campus environment through sports, cultural events, and extracurricular activities. “While we have made significant strides, the journey to realize our full potential continues. Our vision is to transform BR Ambedkar Bihar University into a beacon of academic excellence, innovation, and regional pride,” he remarked.
The celebrations were graced by former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, who extended his greetings and lauded the efforts of Prof. Rai in driving academic excellence. Hussain, a native of Muzaffarpur, expressed his pride in participating in the landmark occasion.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Madam Vice Chancellor Smt. Bibha Rai, LS College Principal Prof. Om Prakash Roy, Proctor Prof. B.S. Rai, Registrar Dr. Aprajita Krishna, and esteemed faculty members such as Prof. Manta Rani, Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Prof. Madhu Singh, Prof. T.K.
