Pilgrim Shed and Cafeteria to Be Constructed in Asarganj for Devotees on Sultanganj-Babadham Road

Patna: A pilgrim shed and cafeteria will be constructed in Asarganj on the Sultanganj-Babadham road to enhance the convenience of devotees. The Bihar Tourism Department has granted administrative approval for the project, which is budgeted at Rs. 14,88,65000. This initiative aims to provide essential amenities for the millions of Shiva devotees who travel to Baba Dham each year, especially during the holy month of Shravan and other significant occasions.
The project will include the construction of a main building (G+1), a café building (G+1), a boundary wall, landscaping, a generator set, in-campus street lighting, solar power generation, a thematic gate, and parking facilities. The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation has been designated as the executive agency for this project.
Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra stated that the initiative aims to create permanent arrangements for the accommodation and nourishment of devotees visiting Baba Dham. He emphasized that the new facilities will significantly enhance the experience of Kanwadis and other pilgrims traveling to Baba Dham from Sultanganj, providing them with quality and well-equipped amenities.
The construction is expected to be completed within the next 18 months, following the formal procedures. This development is part of the government’s commitment to improving the infrastructure for pilgrims and ensuring a comfortable journey for all Shiva devotees.
