Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Bihar again this month. He will hold a public meeting in Motihari on 18 July. Preparations have already started for his visit. Both the Nitish government and BJP leaders are working to make the rally successful. It is being said that PM Modi may announce special gifts or schemes for women and girls during this program.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary will reach Motihari on Friday to review the preparations. He will first meet with administrative officials at 1 pm and then discuss the rally plans with BJP leaders. BJP MP Radha Mohan Singh will also be present during these meetings. BJP district spokesperson Prakash Asthana said that party workers and local people are very happy with the news of PM Modi’s arrival. Many hope that Champaran region will get some important development announcements.

Along with the rally, PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects in Motihari. These include possible development works for Mahatma Gandhi Central University. His visit is seen as a major part of BJP’s election campaign as Bihar assembly polls are expected in October or November this year.

PM Modi has been visiting Bihar almost every month. On 20 June, he held a rally in Siwan and inaugurated urban projects worth Rs 6,000 crore. During that visit, he also flagged off the Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train. Earlier, he addressed programs in Patna, Bikramganj (Rohtas), and Madhubani, launching several development schemes for the state.
