
Patna : Patna’s airport is set to get a major upgrade as Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares to inaugurate its new terminal building on April 24. The facility, designed to ease congestion and enhance passenger experience, promises modern amenities, improved security, and better connectivity.
The expansion has been a long-standing demand due to increasing passenger traffic. The new terminal boasts a spacious waiting area, advanced security systems, and enhanced infrastructure to streamline air travel in Bihar.
Political Leaders Inspect the Terminal Ahead of Inauguration
Ahead of the grand opening, several political leaders have visited the site. On March 31, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad and Bihar minister Nitin Naveen conducted an inspection. Prasad, who played a key role in securing approval for the project, highlighted the extensive efforts behind its completion. Naveen echoed the sentiment, expressing confidence that the terminal would soon be open to the public.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also reviewed the terminal on March 13, instructing officials to ensure its timely completion. Stressing the urgency, he had set a one-month deadline to finalise the remaining work.
