Prashant Kishor Alleges Rs. 1,000 Crore Scam in BPSC, Calls for Electoral Retaliation
Arwal: Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor has accused the Bihar government of a massive scam in the BPSC recruitment process, claiming that over Rs. 1,000 crore has been exchanged for seats. Speaking at a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Arwal, he alleged that BPSC seats have been sold for amounts ranging from Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 1.5 crore. He reiterated that he had warned about this corruption during his hunger strike and is now fighting alongside students to get the exam canceled.
Reacting to the detention of BPSC candidates protesting in Patna, Kishor slammed the Nitish Kumar government for using force against students instead of taking action against those responsible for paper leaks. He stated that exam cancellations alone would not ensure justice since the seats had already been sold. He also pointed out that Bihar has witnessed frequent paper leaks in recent years, yet no major arrests have been made.
Kishor called for electoral revenge, stating that “Nitish’s lathi blows will be answered with the blow of votes.” He emphasized that physical injuries from police action heal in days, but electoral consequences last for five years. The Patna High Court is set to hear the matter on Jan 31, with Jan Suraaj backing the demand for a re-examination.
