Sasaram: Congress MP Manoj Kumar was attacked near Kudra Nathupur while attempting to resolve a dispute related to a school. In the attack, seven people, including the MP and his guard, sustained injuries. The situation escalated when a clash broke out, leading to stone pelting and physical assault by villagers.
Mohania SDPO Pradeep Kumar stated that the MP had gone to address a dispute concerning his brother’s school, but tensions flared, and the mob turned violent. As a result, the MP and several others suffered serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to Mohania sub-divisional hospital for first aid and later referred for better treatment. Following the incident, the SP arrived at the scene, and police have launched an investigation into the attack.
Authorities are conducting a thorough inquiry, and strict action is expected against those responsible. While the MP’s condition is reported to be stable, the attack has created an atmosphere of tension in the area.
