Patna: The Jan Suraj Party celebrated its Holi Milan Samaroh at the Bihar Satyagraha Ashram in Patna’s LCT Ghat, where party strategist Prashant Kishor interacted with workers and laid out plans to strengthen the organisation. During the event, Kishor made a significant announcement, declaring a large rally at Gandhi Maidan on April 11, aimed at bringing change to Bihar.

Kishor said that just as his hunger strike began at Gandhi Maidan, the future of Bihar would also be decided from there. “This rally will be a decision-making rally. This should be the last Holi of Bihar’s plight—after this, Bihar will no longer remain in a bad state,” he said.

Criticism of Modi and BJP’s Role in Bihar

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kishor criticised the Centre’s approach to Bihar, accusing the BJP of tokenism. “Modi ji is trying to win applause by giving Bihar a Makhana Board worth Rs 100 crore, while he is installing a bullet train worth Rs 1 lakh crore in Gujarat,” he said.

He also accused the BJP of political manoeuvring, referring to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as “Laadla” (favourite) and alleging that the party had used Nitish’s latest alliance switch to secure ministerial positions. “The BJP made seven of its own ministers in the cabinet, while Nitish Chacha is only worried about his chair,” he said.

JD (U) Should Not Win a Single Seat, Says Kishor

On the question of Nitish’s potential return as chief minister, Kishor issued a scathing response. “If Modi ji says Nitish Kumar will be the next chief minister, then Nitish ji will sell the whole of Bihar and say, ‘I have no problem, just keep me in power,’” he claimed.

Kishor urged voters to ensure that the JD(U) does not win any seats in the upcoming elections. “If by mistake Chacha (Nitish Kumar) gets even a single seat, then he will find himself politically cornered,” he said.

The April 11 rally at Gandhi Maidan is expected to be a key event for the Jan Suraj Party as it prepares for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections later this year.
