Prashant Kishor Demands Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s Resignation, Citing Health Concerns

Samastipur: Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj, has called for the resignation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, expressing concerns over his physical and mental health. Kishor emphasized that for the past few years, questions have been raised regarding the Chief Minister’s mental well-being. He highlighted that during the recent BPSC movement, it became evident that Kumar’s condition had deteriorated to the point where he struggled to comprehend state affairs. Kishor stated that Nitish Kumar appears physically exhausted and mentally unfit to govern, urging him to step down from his position. He also criticized the BJP, alleging that despite being aware of Kumar’s health issues, they continue to support him for political gains.
Addressing the dynamics within the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), Kishor remarked on the uncertainty surrounding the Congress party’s participation. He noted that it remains unclear whether Congress will remain in the alliance and, if so, how many seats they will contest. Kishor pointed out that the recent change in the state president of Congress adds to the ambiguity, predicting ongoing internal conflicts within the alliance leading up to the elections.
This isn’t the first time Kishor has questioned Nitish Kumar’s capacity to govern. Previously, he described the Chief Minister as “physically tired and mentally retired,” asserting that the JD(U) should not secure any seats in the upcoming assembly polls. Kishor has also criticized the BJP’s alliance with Kumar, suggesting that the party is compromising its position in Bihar to maintain power at the national level.
These developments come amid heightened political tensions in Bihar, with various leaders and parties positioning themselves ahead of the forthcoming elections.
