Purnia MP Pappu Yadav Rallies in Sangam Vihar Backing Congress Candidate
Delhi: Purnia MP Pappu Yadav addressed an election rally in Sangam Vihar in support of Congress candidate Harsh Chaudhary. During his speech, he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of winning elections through cronyism, misuse of the Election Commission and ED, and promoting divisive politics. Yadav claimed that under Modi’s governance, soldiers, farmers, and youth have been severely impacted. Comparing Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, he alleged both were exploiting Delhi’s resources, calling them “Bade miyan to bade miyan, chhote miyan subhan Allah.”
Yadav accused Modi of eliminating job opportunities and undermining the reservation system by dismantling government jobs, which he said has hurt Dalits and backward communities. He praised Congress for its role in developing Delhi, contrasting it with Kejriwal’s leadership, which he claimed has deceived the public.
Highlighting the lack of development in Sangam Vihar, Yadav pointed out issues like poor road conditions and the absence of clean drinking water. He criticized the ruling party for neglecting these basic needs and called both Modi and Kejriwal political opportunists misleading the public for their own gains.
Yadav conducted a motorcycle campaign in the area, meeting with residents to seek support for Harsh Chaudhary. He urged voters to remember the progress achieved during Sheila Dikshit’s tenure, emphasising that only Congress could take responsibility for Delhi’s development. He expressed concern over the decline in the city’s condition due to conflicts between BJP and AAP.
Concluding, Yadav pointed to key issues such as severe pollution, growing garbage piles, crumbling infrastructure, and worsening water and air quality. He described Delhi as the heart of the nation, welcoming people from all corners of the country, but blamed the BJP and AAP for damaging the city’s essence with their political agendas.
