Purnia: Purnia district authorities have initiated a comprehensive review of key development projects, with a particular focus on sports infrastructure and the power sector. In a recent meeting, the District Magistrate directed the District Sports Officer to provide an updated status report on the DSA Ground located at the district headquarters.
In the energy sector, the District Magistrate reviewed progress under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). As part of the review, officials announced plans to construct a 33/11 kV electric power substation in Ranipatara, located in the Purnia East block. The Zonal Officer of Purnia East has been instructed to identify suitable government land for the project and submit a formal proposal for its allocation.
This development is expected to enhance electricity distribution in the region, while the focus on sports facilities indicates a broader push for community-level infrastructure improvements in the district.
