Patna: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Bihar on June 6, where he will attend the ‘Atyant Pichchhada Varg Sammelan’ (Extremely Backward Classes Conference) in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s home district, Nalanda. This marks Gandhi’s fifth visit to the state in 2025, underscoring the Congress party’s intensified focus on the backward and extremely backward communities ahead of upcoming political dynamics.

Gandhi will participate in the event at the Rajgir International Convention Center, where he is expected to engage directly with individuals from these crucial demographic groups. His itinerary includes arriving in Patna and then proceeding directly to Nalanda by train from Patna Airport.

The upcoming visit builds on a series of engagements by the Congress leader in Bihar this year. In January, he addressed a similar conference at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. Subsequent visits saw him at events at SK Memorial Hall on February 5 and April 7. His most recent trip on May 15 included interactions with students in Darbhanga and a viewing of ‘Phule,’ a biopic on social reformer Jyotiba Phule, in Patna.
