Railway Traffic Blocks: Altered Routes for Bhagalpur Trains Amidst Chhapra Yard Upgrades

Train Numbers of 276 Passenger Trains to Change in Bihar from January 1

PATNA – Traffic blocks have been imposed from December 19 to January 8 due to electrification, doubling, and modernization work at Chhapra yard, including pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking work between Chhapra and Gautamsthan railway stations in Varanasi division.

 

In response to these changes, the North Eastern Railway has modified the routes of several trains on the Bhagalpur railway section, including the Bhagalpur-Jammu Tawi Amarnath Express and Delhi-Kamakhya Brahmaputra Mail.

 

Routes Diverted until January 4:

– Train No. 15097 Bhagalpur-Jammu Tawi Amarnath Express has been diverted from December 28 to January 4. The train will now travel from Muzaffarpur via Narkatiaganj-Paniahwa-Gorakhpur, deviating from its usual route of Muzaffarpur-Chhapra Rural-Gorakhpur.

 

– Train No. 15657 Delhi-Kamakhya Brahmaputra Mail has been rerouted via New Bongaigaon-Goalpara Town-Kamakhya until December 24.

 

Routes Diverted on December 23:

– Train No. 15625 Deoghar-Agartala Weekly Express will take an alternative route via Bongaigaon-Goalpara Town-Kamakhya on December 25.

 

– Train No. 15626 Agartala-Deoghar Weekly Express will be rerouted via Kamakhya-Goalpara Town-Bongaigaon on December 23.

 

Additionally, from December 20 to 26, Train No. 15658 Kamakhya-Delhi Brahmaputra Mail will operate via Kamakhya-Goalpara Town-Bongaigaon.

 

Furthermore, Train No. 12254 Anga Express is scheduled for a regulation of 1 hour and 15 minutes in the Asansol division on December 20.
