Raj Bhavan Denies Land for Patna Metro Station, Suggests Zoo Premises Instead

Patna: Raj Bhavan has refused to allocate land for the construction of a Patna Metro station, advising that the project be accommodated within the Patna Zoo complex instead.
In a letter to the General Manager of Patna Metro Rail Corporation, Robert L Chongthu, Principal Secretary to the Governor, stated that 34 acres of land had already been provided for the Patna Zoo complex, and no further land from the Raj Bhavan premises would be transferred. The Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRC) had sought a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for station construction, but the request was declined—not for the first time, as Raj Bhavan had similarly refused land in April 2022.
