Rajgir Safari to Shut for Two Days Amid Holi Celebrations

Rajgir / Patna : In a bid to ensure the safety of both wildlife and visitors, officials at Rajgir Safari have announced a two-day closure of their Nature and Zoo Safaris in Nalanda ahead of the Holi festival. The decision, confirmed in a joint press release by Nalanda Forest Division Officer Rajkumar M and Zoo Safari Director Ramsundar M, comes as a precautionary measure during a period when large crowds are expected to celebrate with vibrant colours.

According to the announcement, the safaris will be closed on Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15. The temporary suspension of operations aims to protect both the animals and the public during the festival festivities, which are known to attract significant numbers of visitors.

“The safety of our wildlife and tourists is our utmost priority,” said the Division Forest Officer. Officials have also indicated that the closure period will be utilised for essential maintenance and cleaning of the safari complexes, ensuring that the parks remain in optimal condition for visitors.

The administration confirmed that normal operations will resume from Sunday, March 16, with the safari parks reopening at their regular hours. Visitors are advised to plan their trips accordingly and stay updated through official communications.
