Patna: A review meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary of Bihar was held to address 11 pending issues related to nine Government of India projects under the PMG Portal, a platform designed to ensure timely completion of projects exceeding ₹500 crore.

During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department reported on progress regarding the 100-bed ESIC Hospital in the Kudhni zone of Muzaffarpur district. The land will be transferred upon receipt of ₹209 lakh from ESIC. For the 6-Lane Greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Expressway, 1.50 hectares of land in Kaimur district has been transferred to NHAI, with ongoing soil testing and other preliminary works. Additionally, 126.06 hectares of Raiti land in Kaimur are being processed for transfer, while land acquisition in Rohtas for related work is being expedited.

For the Buxar Thermal Power Project, the implementing agency, STPL, has initiated work. Plans for railway connectivity to transport coal from Patna to Buxar were discussed, with the District Magistrate confirming the Bihar government’s commitment to facilitating land for both the water and rail corridors.

A total of 187 acres of land has been allocated for AIIMS Darbhanga, with instructions issued to commence work immediately. Under the Aspiring District Program, the Telecommunications Department was directed to enhance mobile connectivity in Jamui (4 locations), Rohtas (3 locations), and Kaimur (1 location) promptly.
